APA Ohio will soon commence the biennial cycle to nominate candidates for consideration to the AICP College of Fellows (FAICP).

 

We are inviting all APA Ohio members who have possessed the AICP credential for 10 years or longer to consider this high honor and review the criteria and other eligibility requirements at planning.org/faicp/nomination. Emails were sent recently to all AICP members meeting the 10 year threshold, inviting them to submit an interest form. 

This is a rigorous and competitive process. Please consider the factors below:

1. The process of preparing a nomination takes approximately 8 months.
2. Less than 1% of the total AICP members nationally have been selected as members of the AICP College of Fellows.
3. Approximately 50 members are selected nationwide from each two-year round.
4. There are nearly 275 planners with FAICP eligibility in Ohio this round; 3-4 will be selected for the nomination process.

The APA Ohio Executive Committee will carefully consider potential nominees and select 3 to 4 candidates to support for preparation of nomination packages. The Committee advises members with an interest in being nominated that the process is an intensive, challenging, and rewarding experience which requires a significant amount of time and effort by nominees.
