Recent Success and Future Trajectory: The Visitors Bureau Director has played an increasingly active and important role in our community over the past 5-7 years. A successful rebranding of tourism in Logan County in 2019 kicked off fresh energy, excitement, and pride in our local tourism assets. This
brand has gained impressive reach and statewide accolades (2024 Ruby Award-winning visitors guide and runner-up in two other categories). The focus on high-quality graphics, current photography/videography, and the creative launch of experiential “trails” (ice cream, coffee, and pizza)
has kept the momentum going. Countywide collaboration has also contributed to maintaining this
momentum. In early 2025, the VB successfully aided the county in expanding bed tax collections
(primary funding source) to include short-term rentals. In the future, the collection and effective use of
these new dollars will be essential to ongoing success.
