MRCA Sets New Fundraising Record at Annual Foundation Auction !

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (Oct. 22, 2024) — The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) set a new fundraising record at its annual Foundation Auction held on Oct. 22 at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront. The event raised $123,000 in one night, bringing the total for the week to $137,000 in support of the MRCA Foundation’s mission to advance industry
education, industry-related research, and academic scholarships.

The "Black & White Ball" auction featured both silent and live bidding on exclusive industry packages, unique experiences, and high-value donations from MRCA members and industry partners. This record-breaking amount will support the
Foundation’s efforts to promote excellence and professionalism in the roofing industry through essential education and
research initiatives.

In attendance as the 2024 Gwaltney Scholarship recipient was Ella Miller, daughter of Michael Miller of Rackley Roofing Company. The Gwaltney Scholarship, awarded annually, honors the Gwaltney family’s legacy—Kevin, Rick, and Mark—who championed education and professional development within the roofing industry. The Gwaltneys were also longstanding supporters of the MRCA Foundation, recognizing its importance in sustaining scholarship opportunities for the industry’s future leaders.
